My background is in Visual Basic programming, and teaching others how to program, so I'm always on the lookout for cool algorithms and fun things to code. Recently, while working on my Kindle book, "VB Strings", the topic of autostereograms came up and the curious question was whether they would work okay on a black and white Kindle display instead of just on printed paper. The challenge was on! After a few days of research, and a breakthrough that allowed me to crunch the core algorithm down to just a few lines of code, my first Kindle stereograms were ready to be tested. They worked very well! The quickest way to share the fun was to go ahead and publish a book of stereogram images for the Kindle, and here it is.
